In short, I was a young girl thrust into adulthood prematurely, leading me to develop habits that hindered my success. Every time I pursued life goals, my dysfunction reminded me that success was out of reach. I initially blamed my parents and mentors for my setbacks until a pivotal moment in my healing journey when I realized I had the power to thrive. I discovered the freedom to break free from dysfunction and failure, enabling me to flourish. Through introspection and reclaiming my leadership role, I honed my growth and aimed to share these leadership skills with others. This realization gave birth to Freedom to Flourish.
The mission is to Own Your Growth. Whether it's small adjustments or significant transformations, I think every step towards progress deserves recognition. While not everyone may acknowledge or applaud your changes, it's your duty to assess and celebrate your own growth.

At Freedom to Flourish, we believe that transforming our community begins by transforming lives—one leader at a time. When we pour into the character, identity, and leadership of our youth, we don’t just impact their future—we shape the future of Rochester.
A powerful example of this impact took place at our first annual OYG Leadership Conference. We had the honor of sponsoring several young men from the Villa of Hope to attend our academy, where they engaged in intensive character and leadership development. These young men walked in unsure of what to expect—but they walked away with clarity, confidence, and renewed hope. Each one left saying how glad they were to have come, and they gained insight they’re still carrying with them today.
This is why we do what we do.
Every sponsorship, every donation, every partnership makes it possible for more young people to experience transformation like this. When we change how our youth see themselves, we change how they influence the world around them.
