EXERCISE One
IDENTIFYING ME
AND LONELINESS
WHAT IS LONELINESS?
Week 1
WALKING ALONE
Monday’s Read
Loneliness is a very complex emotion. Depending on your experiences in life will determine your perspective on being alone. Your thoughts of the word “loneliness” will directly affect how you respond to this emotion. For example, if you think loneliness is negative you will respond negatively when this emotion is felt. This is also true when you have a positive outlook on loneliness.
Depending on your perspective of this word and your past experiences, will determine your acceptance and/or rejection of being alone.
I would like to help you change your perspective on walking alone. You may feel alone in life, ministry, relationship, or in your career. This course will help you find the courage to walk alone. Being alone is not a negative thing, although it can be.
You may look deep into your life and find many situations where you felt alone. Ask yourself how many of those experiences were positive?

PRAYER
Lord, I have been feeling very alone. Often times I feel _________________ , ______________ , and ___________________ (fill in the blank). I am at the point of my life where I am ready to experience complete love, joy, and wholeness. I know that you are the only one who can fill me. I trust that you will complete me. But that means I have to deal with this feeling of being alone. It scares me to think that my reality can consist of me being alone for the rest of my life. I am scared to think that with all of my struggles and life issues, I may miss out on true happiness. Lord, I don't want to be alone. I am not one who needs many friends/people in my life, but I feel like I have no one. Everyone I thought will be in my corner until the end has failed me or was removed from my life. Is it me Lord? Am I doing something wrong? If it's me, please show me your ways that I may receive your instructions. Lead me to complete healing and wholeness. I don't want my past to overshadow me with fear of loneliness. Deliver me, Lord! I am in desperate need of your righteous hand. Help me see what you see. Help me understand this lonely journey. I want to find true happenings in this desert. Lead me to your river. Amen
